Abu Dhabi University Gears Up for New Academic Year
Abu Dhabi 26 august 2008  Classes are set to start at Abu Dhabi University for the 2008 / 2009 academic year on the 7th of September 2008. The university welcomes its new students on both Abu Dhabi and Al Ain campuses. The student body at Abu Dhabi University consists out of 45 different nationalities; 46% local students and 54% from different nationalities. H.E. Ali Saeed Bin Harmal Al Dhaheri, the ADU Chairman of the Executive Board, noted that the university has completed all preparations for the new academic year and it is geared up to welcome its students on both campuses. The university has completed full maintenance of all labs, training halls, libraries, and scientific work areas.

Qatar 27 august 2008  Carnegie Mellon University in Qatar is hosting an open day to promote its Corporate Innovation and Entrepreneurship program on Sunday, Aug. 31, at the Four Seasons Hotel.CIEP is a nine-month, part-time course presented in Doha by Carnegie Mellon University, a recognized worldwide leader in business education, in partnership with Qatar Science & Technology Park, a hub for technology-based companies.

First to use new drug-free treatment
DUBAI 27 August 2008  Murdoch University’s Equine Centre is the first in WA to treat equine degenerative joint disease (osteoarthritis) with a serum produced from the horse’s own blood. Joint damage and lameness are some of the biggest reasons for loss of performance and subsequent retirement in horses, characterised by joint inflammation.
